These bars were amazing! They were so simple to make and super delicious! They were a hit! So chocolatey and the espresso flavor on top was perfect! Definitely will be making these again!

I made these bars a couple of weeks ago and my they were great! If you love coffee and chocolate you will love these. Everyone loved them, even my kids. They got better as the days went on also. A little time consuming, but well worth the time for a great dessert.

I am such a fan of bold, rich, flavorful desserts and these were all of the above. I loved these bars, but the only thing I would do next time is to make sure you use the double chocolate chunk cookie mix! Because the store I went to didn't have this pouch is stock at the time, I followed the expert tips and used a regular chocolate chip cookie mix and added oil and cocoa, as advised. This bottom-cookie-part of the bars came out dry, hard, and crumbly, not allowing the decadent, delicious top part of the bar to shine. If this double chocolate chunk mix still can't be found, a good brownie recipe for the base could be a nice substitute. One other thing is that the combination of the ?instant espresso powder and cream cheese? resulted in a subtle fruity taste. It isn't a bad flavor, just unexpected.

These were a huge hit! My co-workers scoffed these puppies down! Not too sweet, I used Giradelli dark chocolate chips. Hard to find the instant expresso, but finally found a small container. All three layers stay together (I have had trouble with other recipes here where the layers all fall off when cut). Only draw back is it does take time - so be prepared! Very yummy though and really worth the time.

I was so impressed with this rich tasting recipe! I made it twice for two different family gatherings and it was a hit. I cut them into large squares and then diagonal and placed them in foil wrappers. Since they are rich, you don't need to eat much - even though many had seconds!!

This is a favorite recipe of mine. I usually add a pinch of espresso powder to the filling. Bittersweet chocolate is my choice of chocolates. I cut the bars into tiny bite-sized pieces and place in foil cups for party trays. Make sure the bars are really cold when you cut them. Use a wet knife and keep it clean by wiping it inbetween cuts.

This recipe is fantastic- although I did leave out the espresso powder because I'm not a huge chocolate fan. This would be a wonderful Christmas treat- and all chocolate lovers will L.O.V.E this recipe!! Thanks!
