For gluten free, I'm very happy. Hubby loves it also, but we are not into really sweet things and I used browns sugar n corn syrup. Its my first attempt. Word of advice, don't try milk chocolate chips they don't melt in micro and I chopped up the nuts. I will definitely make this again, perhaps ill substitute gluten free Cheerios , they have less sugar. Great recipe though, it's a keeper.

I made this today for a class party for my son who has a gluten free child in the class. It's similar to the granola bar recipe I use so I changed it a bit to use those amounts since other reviews said they weren't sticking together. I used 1/2 cup honey and 1/2 cup brown sugar. I made sure to let them come to a boil and boil for 30-60 seconds. I also used my hands to press them very firmly into an 11x7 pan. They cut great and stayed together really well.

These are by far a favorite in our house! I only wish I had found this recipe sooner. I noticed that some were saying that they had a hard time getting the mix to stick together, I found that if you mix them in a 9x13 pan instead of a deeper bowl the whole mixture was coated well...REALLY well! Hope that helps.

They taste great, but they don't stick together. If you aren't opposed to just picking at it with your fingers (which I am not), this is a good recipe.

Instead of using the cake pan requested, I put the mixture into cupcake papers in muffin tins. To keep the mixture from sticking, I used gluten free olive oil in a spray bottle and made cupcakes. Our 4 year old grandson that this was so neat that this is what he has requested for birthday treats for day care and pre-school. Such a simple little thing means so much to those who have to "live without".

I get requests for this every time the family gets together. I have two family members that are gluten sensitive - and they LOVE these bars - as do everyone else. I doubt the peanut butter and honey so it sticks together better.
