Ingredients

3: cakes yeast

1: cup warm water

1: tablespoon sugar

3: cups warm milk

2: cups sugar

1: cup melted butter

1: teaspoon vanilla extract

2: cups flour

1: teaspoon salt

4: egg yolks beaten

2: cups sugar

Directions

1 Dissolve 3 yeast cakes and 1/2 cup warm water and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Stir 1/2 warm milk, and a little flour and mix into yeast mixture until it makes a paste. Allow to rise 10 to 15 minutes.
2 Then mix 1/2 cup sugar,1/2 cup melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon butter flavor, 4 beaten egg yolks, 2 cups warm milk alternately with flour until you have a satin dough. Let rise until you have double in bulk. Take half of the dough and roll out onto floured board. It should be 1/2 to 1 inch thick.
3 Cut with biscuit cutter and place on pan, butter and punch down in the center.
4 Put fruit filling in and crumble sugar on top. Bake at 375 - 400 degree preheated oven until browned. Take out and butter.
5 Sugar Crumble: 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter, about 1/2 cup flour to make a crumble.
