Moist and Figgy Brownie Cupcakes

Bloggers Adam and Joanne Gallagher from Inspired Taste bake moist and chewy brownie cupcakes with the addition of dried figs.

Ingredients

box (1 lb 2.4 oz) Betty Crocker™ Original Supreme Premium brownie mix
1/4
cup water
1/4
cup vegetable oil
1
egg
1/2
cup chopped dried figs

pouch (7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cookie Icing white icing
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Place paper baking cup in each of 12 regular-size muffin cups.
  • 2 In medium bowl, stir together brownie mix, pouch of chocolate syrup (from brownie mix box), water, oil, egg and figs. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.
  • 3 Bake 22 to 24 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely.
  • 4 Drizzle cupcakes with icing.

Expert Tips

Brownies can be baked in an 11x7-inch pan for 32 to 35 minutes. After cooling and icing, cut into bars.

Cranberry or pomegranate juice can be substituted for the water.
