I don't know if I overmixed the batter or what - but my cake was overly dry and dense. Almost unbearably dry. It was like eating a mouthful of flour...minus the streusel part. I took the advice of another reviewer and added a mocha drizzle over the top. It needed every ounce of moisture it get get! It looked beautiful though...so that was a plus! I followed the recipe to a 't' so it's a mystery to me why it turned out the way it did. I wish I could give it more spoons...but it did not turn out as expected.

this coffee cake was a hit. it is moist and tasty. perfect for coffee.i sprinkled all the streusel mixture in between the cake and baked it, then i made my own mocha icing and sprinkled the top with pecans.

This cake is so moist and delicious. I didn't have a springform pan so I used a bundt pan instead and it worked just as well. My family loved it! This recipe is definitely a keeper!
