Frozen berries are available year-round and are often more economical than fresh berries. However, when fresh berries are in good supply, substitute 6 cups of fresh berries for the frozen. Skip the microwave thawing step.
Substitute 1 cup of blackberries for 1 cup of the blueberries or raspberries, if you prefer.
