SAVE ON THIS RECIPE!
Call it a Sweets Swap or a Cookie Exchange; you'll get the same great results--and lighten your baking load, too. Why not start this tradition of sharing with your friends this year? Here's how:
• Send out invitations a month in advance. Think about limiting your group to fewer than twelve to make managing the event easier. You may want to mail labels for the sweets along with the invitations.
• Ask guests to bring their sweets on paper or plastic plates or in nonreturnable containers and covered with clear plastic wrap so the goodies are easily seen. Each person needs to bring enough treats to share and sample.
• Everyone will want the recipes, so have guests bring a copy; e-mail the recipes or print them out on the computer.
• As host, you will need to provide the space for guests and their treats. Be sure you have lots of piping-hot coffee and tea to go with the cookie samples.
