These cute and spicy little breads, wrapped festively, are a great solution for a low-key holiday gift exchange at work.

The best pumpkin bread to make is the Betty Crocker Pumpkin Bread Mix. Follow the directions and after mixing, add chocolate chips according to your liking. I bake them in the small mini loaf pans and take them out after about 20 minutes or less. Check and see if fully baked after 15 minutes as they will be too dry if much longer. These are an instant hit and everyone loves them. I buy pretty little baking ceramic loaf pans at Michaels Craft Stores and use them to bake in and give away as gifts at Christmas...... more raves than you can imagine.

I baked this recipe in my mini Bundt tins. One half of the recipe will make 12 tins. I included them in my gift baskets at Christmas. Everyone loved them.

I have made this several times now and even sold the mini loafs at a Holiday Bazaar. I have nothing but great compliments. The only thing I do different is I use a whole cup of batter instead of a half. I increase the cook time 10 min. Im a cinn lover to, so I double that. You will love this. Its a must for the holidays.

Made these for the first time on Christmas Eve. Was planning to make something for the neighbors and family members. I try each year not to make the same old stuff. This recipe was easy to follow and the fact that it made so many loaves was even better. Make one batch and you have enough for the whole family and neighborhood. Surprisingly, the ones that I thought would not like it, loved it. Thanks for a great recipe that I have added to my cookbook file!! Mae in Colorado

Hi, I'm a novice cook/baker. Can someone please recommend a substitute for all that oil - I've heard applesauce can be used but how much? Also, thanks for the input on changing the dates to cranberries!
