EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Surprise your little sports fan by shaping meat loaves into footballs or baseballs and using cheese to create “laces.”

Overmixed meat loaf can be tough, so mixing ingredients together only until they’re just combined is best.

Yet another Betty Crocker Recipe that is placed in our family favorites cook book! My eight year old son was in charge of dinner (we are trying new recipes). He chose the Mini Meat Loaves (because they looked like footballs). I let him mix and mold everything. All I did was the oven! He had a blast! We will definitely be making double the recipe next time, because all four kids wanted more! REALLY! All four of my picky eaters LOVED this! Major compliments to the chef! On normal nights I would cook the same ol stuff. Every night at least one of my kids would complain that they didn't like it, or its nasty. Even though it was foods they did actually enjoy at one time or another. Now that they are making their own creations with dinner we have enjoyed dinner and each other SO much more! Thank you again Betty Crocker!

I have not used your recipe, mini meat loaves are great. My mother would dry out meat loaf in the microwave when cut. The mini loaves have the roasted cover and do not dry. They freeze well and thaw fast. Big meat balls, broken up for quick bar-b-que they come in handy.
