These taste great, melt in your mouth. I put solid hershey kisses in the center to change it up and those tasted awesome as well. Next time I will find the caramel filled ones for variety.

I make these every year. I add red and green colored sugar to the powdered sugar for rolling. Makes them look even more festive.

I received a Betty Crocker cook book as a shower gift 52 years ago. Many of these recipes are in my book but have been tweaked a bit. I prefer the old versions to the new however some of the new ones are easier to make, maybe that's why they don't taste as good.

Took these to work for cookie exchange.Great with coffee in the morning. Not too sweet! Someone else made them also, but put almond flavoring in them. Were o.k. but liked vanilla better.

One of my families favorite cookies. They are like a shortbread cookie. You can make the basic cookie recipe and then make some with hershey kisses, some with cherries, some plain, or use your imagination. We absolutely LOVE these cookies!

My mom has made these every Xmas! She divides the dough in half, put green food coloring in one and red in the other. We always knew it was getting closer to Xmas when her hands were stained red and green. One of the best recipes ever.............

When I was a little girl, we made these with real butter and pistachios. Yum!

My mother would call these 'Rum Balls' but without the rum. Same ingrediants but using regular sugar when mixing with butter, flour, vanilla, etc... Powdered sugar is only used for rolling the balls, twice, in it after they're cooked.

I ended up disliking it intensely after adding the caramel. The flavor was just too much of the caramels on top of the blandness of the cookie. I followed the recipe and had cookies crumbling, sugar everywhere, etc. Even on the "normal" batch, the flavor was just not there. To each their own, I guess, but I will not be wasting my time or ingredients on this recipe at Christmas this year!
