Ingredients

1
box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie mix
1/4
cup water
2/3
cup vegetable oil
2
eggs
1
teaspoon cayenne pepper
2
ounces dark or bittersweet chocolate, chopped

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 Prepare Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies as directed on box.
  • 3 Fold in cayenne pepper and chopped chocolate. Pour into a greased pan.
  • 4 Bake as directed.
  • 5 Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.

Expert Tips

Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper depending on how much heat you enjoy.

For a mellower flavor, try cinnamon instead of cayenne pepper—or a combination of the two!

These would taste wonderful served warm and topped with freshly whipped cream to contrast the spiciness.
