I used some beef base to help season the ground beef along with fresh ground pepper and a minced schallot. I also added a drained can of mexi style corn and mixed all this together and topped with home made corn bread batter and topped that with a shreaded cup of pepper jack cheese ,then baked it 25 minutes or until the corn bread browns nicely.Take out of oven and let cool slightly and serve with sour cream and fresh guacamole and chopped green onions.

Very simple to make. I think it makes a better dip than a meal. It just seemed so plain for a meal. It was delicious though.

This is a keeper! I first made it for my husband who loved it, and then I made it at a couple of dinner parties. It was a hit each time. I made one change - I used ground turkey instead of ground beef since I want to cook healthier. Everything else stayed the same. Make it with cornbread. Delicious!

I used 1 can of beans and added 1 can of Del Monte Savory Side Rio Grand Vegetables. It has pintos, tomatoes, corn and green chiles in it. I also added 1/4 tsp cayenne, 1/2 onion sliced thin and 1/2 clove garlic. The family loved it and told me not to lose the recipe!

This is very simple to make and very tastey. I made a few additions which I thought brought out a more lively taste. I added 1/4 tsp cayenne, 1/2 chopped onion, 1/4 chopped bell pepper,1 clove garlic. I used hot chunky salsa. Wpuld defineately make this again.
