This was easy and fun to make for my 4 year old granddaughter's birthday. I used a small mermaid doll as the Barbie seemed too big. I placed candy "rocks" on the seat so that kept her hair out of the icing. I used blue kool aid to color the sugar and it tasted very good.

I made this cake for my daughters 3rd birthday (she picked out which one she wanted) it was EASY, good and it was the centerpiece of the party. I had a little trouble getting the cake out of the custard cup but I think I didn't bake it long enough. This cake is great for any under the sea party! I found an inexpensive Ariel (ballerina) that I was able to wrap up to make it complete!

I had so much fun making this cake. It turned out very well, but i used a mini mermaid and it worked a little better. You could see the cake more.
