Add some crunch and flavor to your next batch of French toast. This recipe uses crushed Honey Nut Cheerios™ Medley Crunch cereal as the coating.

Ingredients

tablespoon vegetable oil
1 1/2
cups Honey Nut Cheerios™ Medley Crunch cereal, lightly crushed to 1 cup

eggs
1/2
cup milk
1/2
teaspoon ground cinnamon

thick slices French bread

Directions

  • 1 In 10- to 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
  • 2 Place lightly crushed cereal in shallow bowl.
  • 3 In large bowl, beat eggs, milk and cinnamon until well blended.
  • 4 Dip bread into egg mixture; coat with cereal, pressing cereal onto bread to adhere. Place in skillet.
  • 5 Cook bread over medium heat until golden brown on each side. Serve warm French toast with honey or maple-flavored syrup.

Expert Tips

For more flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla to egg mixture.

Regular Honey Nut Cheerios® cereal can also be used in this recipe.
