Mascarpone and Pistachio Toasts

Creamy mascarpone and crunchy pistachios are perfect partners in these quick-and-easy snacks.

Ingredients

oz mascarpone cheese (about 1/2 cup), softened

slices (1/4 inch thick) baguette French bread
1/3
cup pistachio nuts (about 2 oz), coarsely chopped

tablespoons honey

tablespoons thinly sliced fresh basil leaves

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spread cheese on each bread slice. Place in single layer in ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan. Sprinkle nuts over cheese.
  • 2 Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges of bread are light golden.
  • 3 Drizzle honey over top of each toast. Garnish with basil.

Expert Tips

If mascarpone isn't available, you can still make these tasty toasts. Use 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened, instead.

Spray your tablespoon with cooking spray to keep the honey from sticking when you measure it.
