I am IN LOVE with these little treats. Yeah their a little difficult to get the hang of but on the first shot they turned out really well. I'm takin the advice of some of you and getting a mini scooper to perfect their shape. But the taste is incredible. I will say that refrigerating time was closer to 45min - 60min rather than the 10-15 they said. But hey as long as it holds a shape your good, besides you freeze em anyways. This was so simple, although time consuming, but everyone at the party i hosted is begging for more. Love this site :)

I am helping my future sister in law plan her wedding. Right now, we're working on the wedding favors. Kelly is giving the reception guests a single truffle. These will make the perfect gift! I did a test run and these were easy to make and delicious! She and I began looking for packaging, and we found the cutest favor boxes from Box and Wrap! These boxes fit a single truffle, and the boxes come in all colors. Favors Done!

I made these from the Betty Crocker Cookbook....very easy to do! The easiest way to make a ball out of the chocolate is to get a small ice cream scoop with a release on the side. Not sure why that one person gave it a bad review, they must not have kitchen skills! Its not that hard!! Really!

Huge hit at the Christmas party! It doesn't make a lot and it is time consuming... but people are still talking about them! I definately plan on making them again.

This was the worst recipe ever!!! It looks easy enough and after reading all the reviews, I figured I would be able to make it for a New Years Eve Party. Once I began making the truffles, I realized how difficult it was. No one mentioned how hard it was to roll the chocolate into balls. The recipe says to leave in the fridge for 10-15min. I left it in the fridge for over an hour and it still wasn't ready. I decided to put it in the freezer and left it in there for over half hour and at that time, I was able to make the balls but I kept having to put the mixture back into the freezer as it would get warm very quickly and became sticky. On top of this, no where does it mention how difficult it would be to remove the balls from the foil. I was not able to get the balls off the foil without destroying them. I decided to pour the chocolate on top of the balls. That was no good either because the bottom of the truffle was moist and the top was hard. It look HORRIBLE. I decided to make something else. I started at 11:30am and finished at 4:45pm. What a waste of time, energy and money!!! I will never make this recipe again!!!

for uniform truffles, use a small cookie scoop, level off the top, then put on the cookie sheet. this will help later when you dip and coat the treats. also helps keep the truffle from rolling off the fork when you're dipping.

They are very easy to make, just take a little time. Although they were very sweet they were excellent, and I think they were so sweet because of the brands of chocolate chips and baking chocolate I used. However, very yummy and to be proud of. To make them perfect, use a very round teaspoon, overflow it and round the overflowing top so its completely round. You might have to still round it a bit. Deeply coat it in the outer chocolate layering, and put the coating into a bowl so its easier to roll onto and all over the balls. To make swirls on them I didnt use the glaze but just got chocolate on my fingers and drizzled extra on top in swirls since there was a little extra. You will have to use your hands to dip it in the chocolate, a spoon won't work very well. Worth making again. They are good with white baking chocolate so the center is white chocolate, and milk chocolate chips so the outside is milk chocolate. I'm sure they would be good the other way around as well.

well this is really good but the thing is that it defiantly does not make 15, unless of course, they're really small

These truffles are incredibly easy, quick and no hassle to make and are a great gift to give (esepcially for Christmas and Valentines)! I've also tried using 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate and 2 oz. unsweetenend chocolate to give it more of a dark chocolate truffle taste. They come out very smooth and rich. I also like to sprinkle some crushed nuts on top - it makes it look so professional. Great recipe!
