EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Use 2 tablespoons lime juice for the tequila for a family-favorite snack mix.

Serve this zesty snack mix in a margarita glass with a salted rim. Rub the rim of the glass with the cut side of a lime or lemon wedge, then dip the rim into a shallow dish of coarse salt.

You can use 9 cups of Corn Chex or Rice Chex instead of a combination of the three cereals.

This recipe is the greatest. Like others it was hard to find the powdered mix. You need to look at Liquor Stores. I did find it at a liquor store in Northern Minnesota after finding it on the internet on Amazon.com and buying tons of it. Okay though because everyone loves it and I will make it alot.

I couldn''t wait to make this recipe, but I can''t find a dry margarita mix anywhere in town, or within a 50 mile radius. All the food and liquor stores thought I was crazy. If the staff at Betty Crocker is going to post a recipe, the least they could do is find out if all the ingredients are readily available! I would like to know where others bought the margarita mix and what brand they bought. I looked online and could only find one source, but who wants to pay shipping just to try a recipe. I''m very disappointed!
