  1. 1 box betty crocker yellow cake mix, substitute 1/3 cup vanilla, 1/3 cup maple syrup, 1/3 cup water for 3/4 cup water.
  2. add 3 eggs, 1/3 cup vanilla, 1/3 cup maple syrup, 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 1 cup softened butter, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. mix on medium speed until blended. add cake mix gradually until blended. pour into 2 - 9 inch round cake pans. preheat oven to 350. bake on middle rack for 30 to 35 minutes. let cool 2 to 3 minutes, remove from cake pans. let cool completely
  3. * FROSTING INGREDIENTS* 2- 8 oz. packages softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup softened butter, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 4 cups powder sugar.
  4. * FROSTING DIRECTIONS*
  5. add cream cheese, butter, cinnamon, powder sugar, gradually, into mixing bowl. blend at medium speed until blended.
  6. frost and refrigerate.
