From Betty's Soul Food Collection... When the weather outside gets chilly, nothing beats this hearty pork chop dinner, complete with sweet potatoes and biscuits drizzled with warm maple syrup.

I've made this several times. It is quick, easy, and delicious. I add a few extra sweet potatoes. The biscuits with the maple syrup on top are delicious. Great recipe my son loves it.

AMAZING! I had 10 1.5" boneless chops. I doubled all directions and it came out better than a Thanksgiving dinner. I took the advice given here to do the biscuts seperate. I also added about 3/4c light brown sugar to the syrup. All my picky eaters (all 5) loooved this.. Thank you

Really nice dinner! I too made the biscuits separately, and I did not drain the pork and sweet potatoes. I will make this one again.

Pretty tasty! I followed others' advice and baked the biscuits separately, plus sprinkled some cinnamon (not much) into my maple syrup before spreading over porkchops and sweet potatoes. Sprinkled cinnamon over the final product, too, and it made a nice presentation! I used sugar-free syrup (have diabetics at home) and the dish still had a great flavor.

This is truly southern..the thicker the pork chops the better, only to make sure they are thoroughly cooked. Also pay attention and do not drain so much as to make it dry. Mandarin orange slices can also be added to this or a touch of brown sugar, the way you would make candied sweet potatoes.

This is my first recipe to try and it turned out just a little dry. When adding the biscuits it says to drain. This caused the pork chops and sweet potatoes to dry out. I think next time I will cook the bread separate. French cut string beans went well on the side. I will cook this dish again.
