Maple-Pecan Danish Coffee Cake

Mmm! Maple coffee cake is a must-try. A delicate crust is topped with a mix-in-a-saucepan mixture, then it's baked on a cookie sheet.

I'm not crazy about sweets so I thought this was delicious - very savory. Definitely monitor the baking time - mine was done before the 45-50 minutes. The is not the "coffee cake" that you would expect - no cake texture at all.

ok...just finished baking this; * it only needed to bake for 30 minutes!(not 40-45).It was odd that it didn't call for sugar in the filling(I think it should have some)But; This is actually sort of a Scandinavian Kringle (for the Scandinavians out there). I expected it to be very bland;...actually, it's quite good. My hubby loved it because it wasn't too sickengly sweet. It DEFINITELY needs the drizzle ontop though. I used the drizzle as a frosting and spread it on right from the oven. I think it would be better with some sugar in the filling;but as I said, people who aren't crazy about sweets would love it!

This was very easy to make,however i didnt care for the filling, it was rather mushy. It certainly is pretty though!
