Mmm! Treat yourself to a quick homemade coffee cake that's loaded with a crunchy nutty topping and lots of maple flavor.

I wasn't so impressed with this cake. I wanted to love it because I love maple but the flavor wasn't very pronounced. Also the streusel sank to the bottom of the cake, forming a (delicious) sticky layer with a rather dry cake on top. So I'm further looking for a good maple cake.

Thanks for this subscription.. I am Ecuadorian but never tried cokinog our dishes. I came to the U.S. when I was 9yrs old and being raised here, I totally forgot about my roots. SHAME ON ME! Now, I am 33 and sooo excited to really start to enjoy my typical Ecuadorian dishes. Never too late as people say. Tonight, I will be making seco the pollo for my family and I am sooo eager to go home.

I was looking for a coffee cake recipe and i found this, i really like maple and pecans so i tried it; but i added a few things and changed it a little bit, i added 1/4 tsp of cinnamon to the streusel and used 1/2 tsp of maple extract and 1/2 tsp of vanilla instead of doing 1 tsp of maple so it's not overpowering.. and i didn't have any sour cream in hand so i used cream cheese instead it worked like a charm! the cake is so moist and fluffy! i made a vanilla maple glaze to put on top of the cake while it's still warm.. it's sooo delicious!!! my 18 month old boy loves it! it's not too sweet but enough to satisfy your sweet tooth! definitely going to make this again and again!

I will start off saying I changed this recipe a tiny bit, I don't care for Maple flavoring, so I use 1 tsp vanilla extract instead. Absolutely everyone loves it when I make it!!!!

I have been making this recipe since I was a youngster and find it delicious and easy to prepare. But the recipe is no longer on the box.
