Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 4 (3 to 4-oz.) fresh or frozen bratwurst patties, thawed

Steps

  • 1
Heat closed contact grill for 5 minutes.
  • 2
Meanwhile, in small saucepan, combine maple syrup, chives and mustard; mix well. Cook over low heat until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
  • 3
When grill is heated, place bratwurst patties on bottom grill surface. Close grill; cook 5 to 7 minutes or until browned and no longer pink in center.
  • 4
Brush tops of patties with syrup mixture. Close grill; cook an additional 1 to 2 minutes or until glazed. Serve remaining warm syrup mixture with patties.

  • You can use maple-flavored syrup instead of the pure maple syrup.
  • Be sure to use the drip tray that is included with our contact grill. The trays vary in appearance depending on the brand of grill, but all serve the same purpose: draining drippings and fat from your food to the tray. Be sure to watch carefully so the tray does not overflow.
