Maple-Brushed Bacon

The only thing better than a platter of bacon is one that's been delicately brushed with pure maple syrup before baking.

oz thick-sliced bacon (10 slices)

tablespoons real maple syrup

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Place cooling rack in 17x11-inch baking pan with sides. Spray with cooking spray.
  • 2 Place bacon slices on rack (use 2 pans if necessary).
  • 3 Bake 10 minutes. Brush with half of the syrup. Bake 10 minutes longer. Turn bacon; brush with remaining 2 tablespoons syrup. Bake 10 minutes longer.

Expert Tips

Recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.

Using the cooling rack allows bacon grease to drip down into the baking pan.
