EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Save your stovetop from splatters and bake the bacon on a foil-lined cookie sheet at 400°F for 10 to 15 minutes until crisp.

For Maple-Walnut Ice Cream, substitute toasted chopped walnuts for the bacon. Omit the melted chocolate chips, and stir the nuts into the ice cream after the freezing time in the ice-cream freezer.

Love sweet/salty, so I tried this. It's ok but I prefer my bacon dipped directly into syrup, like a chip into salsa. I definitely appreciate anyone who goes into their kitchen and says, "Hm-m-m, I wonder what this will taste like!". To tinydogpries and mommypie, so sorry y'all were having a bad day. Bless your hearts but y'all really didn't need to waste your time writing up a review of something you didn't bother to try. Take two jalapenos and go put your feet up for awhile; you'll feel better in the morning.

I have had bacon on maple flavored doughnuts and it was amazing, I was a little undecided about the chocolate on it, but it was pretty good. If someone doesn't care to use bacon for religious or health reasons, a great choice is adding broken chocolate covered pretzels.. you get the salty and the chocolate, it's really yummy.

Bacon in ice cream is awesome. If you are "not allowed to eat bacon, never have, and never will" as another reviewer stated then you have no business reviewing this recipe.
