Very delicious! I have made this twice. The first time I used shredded mozarella and that worked just as well as the sliced mozarella. I think next time I might boil chicken and shred before combining with cooked vegetables.

This was so easy to make! I made the chicken mixture one day and put it in the refrigerator over night. The next day, when I had more time I assembled the remaining ingredients and put in refrigerator to set. This also made clean-up easier! Would definitely make this recipe again!

Like Litspec, I am also wondering if this would freeze? I think the cottage cheese would be okay but I don't know if freezing a recipe with half and half would separate when thawed. Thanks.

I am trying this recipe for the first time and rather than not cooking the lasagna noodles, I went ahead and cooked them. Then I would think it is not necessary to sit overnight! Cooking lasagna noodles is easy while the chicken mixture cooks - why not do it?

In reply to blondies: I havent made this yet but yes..it sits and soaks all night..I have made recipes similar to this..the sitting softens the noodles and absorbs the liquid so by the time you put it in the oven it is basically ready..Just so you know..I have found items made like this the pasta can end up a little more al dente than you would probably do if you boiled them ahead. I have had times where they ended up really al dente and other times just right. It depends alot on the type of pasta used and how much liquid there is to absorb but you cant tell until you try it once to know whether to adjust it the next time.
