So easy to make and a very tasty meal as well, We will surely be revisiting this recipe, and already have some ideas for some other variations on it as well.

I laughed when I saw this..it's something I've been cooking for my family for 30 years. And this is the first time I saw it in a recipe! Guess it's one of those common sense, stuff left over in the cabinet, meals that are a hit in any family. To Blayer....Rather than precooking the noodles in 2 qts. of water, this recipe only simmers it in 3 cups which ends up thickened by the cheese and soaked up by the peas and sausage. Truth is, depending on stove heat and elevation, you may find you need extra water to get the macaroni fully cooked. Check your cooking often and go with your gut. Good luck!
