Ingredients

pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® chocolate chip cookie mix
1/2
cup butter or margarine, softened
1
egg
1
cup butterscotch chips
1
cup milk chocolate chips or semisweet chocolate chips
1
cup flaked coconut
1
cup chopped walnuts
1
can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • 2 In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter and egg until soft dough forms. Press dough in bottom of pan using floured fingers.
  • 3 Bake 15 minutes. Sprinkle with butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, coconut and walnuts. Drizzle evenly with condensed milk.
  • 4 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely, about 2 hours. For bars, cut into 9 rows by 4 rows.

I do this cookie every year and everyone loves them...you can really play with it too...I've done peanut butter cookie mix for the base and used peanuts instead of pecans....done sugar cookie for the base with white chocolate chips...for years I did them with a cake mix & melted stick of butter for the crust

I made this cookie bar 4 new years eve party, it was a great hit.. I used a sugar cookie 4 the first layer instead of chocolate chip cookie.. I will make this again & again...

This recipe is too sweet!! Instead, I used oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, 1/2 cup flaked coconut, and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Then I drizzled the sweetened condensed milk very lightly over the toppings. Everyone loved it!!
