This recipe is too sweet!! Instead, I used oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, 1/2 cup flaked coconut, and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Then I drizzled the sweetened condensed milk very lightly over the toppings. Everyone loved it!!

I used oatmeal cookie mix with butterscotch chips for the base. they were delicious and soooo easy to prepare! my grandmother used to make these with graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter for the bottom layer when I was a kid. she called them 'hello dollies'. they were my favorite holiday cookie! am going to try the chocolate cookie mix next time, YUM!!!

I love these cookies as well. A truly decadent cookie. But since I was diagnosed as a Type 2 Diabetic, I have been looking for a diabetic version of this recipe. Does anybody know of one? Or where I can find one. Thanks in advance.

Best bar/cookie recipe! These are the most requested cookie recipe that I receive from family and friends. I make them for the holidays. The cookie dough bottom is an improvement over the graham cracker bottom as it doesn't break up and fall apart. This is a moist, chewy, and rich bar. It's easy to make and worth it.

These bars are amazing tasting and so eazy to make! My mom used to make them for church gatherings and now I found the same recipe! I made a graham cracker crust insted of the cookie crust. Just my preference. My family loves these sweet treats!!

Absolutely delicious. Its soooo simple to make and doesnt require alot ingredients (the less, the better!) I did however substituted the walnuts for macadamia just because it was alittle bit cheaper. I will definately be making this again and again! Thanks, Betty!!!

I made these as this recipe looked good and easy. I didn't put chocolate chips as I didn't have any that day. They still came out great and yummy! 36 bars were too many for 3 of us so I had my husband take some to share with his people at work the next day. He called me and told me that they were gone in an hour, and even some people from another section heard about it and came looking for it. When he came home, he had a list of people wanted the recipe!
