Love Pasta Sauce

can Muir Glen™ organic fire roasted tomatoes
Garlic or red pepper infused olive oil
Lots of fresh, shredded or shaved parmesan cheese
Torn, fresh Genovese basil
Tablespoon or so of minced garlic
Salt, to taste
Freshly cracked pepper, to taste

  • 1 Stir ingredients together in a sauce pan over medium heat for a few minutes and voila – fresh pasta sauce.
  • 2 Pour over cooked pasta of choice for instant, flavorful and light pasta toss.

Expert Tips

- Fresh herbs can be expensive in the grocery store…but they can be easily grown on a kitchen windowsill all year long in nice climates, or in a small pot outside in summer, then frozen for year round use. Freezing herbs is the best way to preserve flavor and nutrients.
