This cake was so fun to make. My daughter just celebrated her 3rd birthday, and she said it was a Party Tower! It looked just like the picture. Fun, and delicious cake!

having 7, yes 7, birthdays in January this cake was the answer to my searching for something large enough for all and still individualized for each birthday person. i made the layer cake with a 10 inch pan instead of a 9 inch pan for more servings and decorated each cupcake in the birthday persons favorite color and candy. thank you to those who suggested using toothpicks to hold it together...you probably saved a really cute cake from falling apart!

Cute idea but a slight disaster! The cupcakes slide all over the place. I suggest putting it together right before you light the candles. I made put it together this morning but I'm pretty sure it won't be standing my tonight!

This cake was SUPER easy to make. Took a little time, but it was simple. But, it's not as impressive as I thought it would be; it looks a lot cooler in the picture. Still, Delicious! :)

Fairly easy to make. The only "hassle" I ran in to was during the "layering" of the cupcakes. I used the Rich and Creamy icing and when I started placing cupcakes they kept sliding off. As a result I used toothpicks to reinforce cupcakes in there places. Overall presentation is nice. A fun cake to make for any age!

I was just wondering where on earth you can buy neon green & blue food coloring?

I made this cake for my brothers birthday. It came out great. I bought 2 boxes of cake mix just in case but only needed one. I would sugest filling the cupcakes with batter first and then filling the cake pan. It was actually suprisingly easy to get neon food coloring. It was right next to the regualr f.c!

I was going to make a cake for a extra desert for my friends surpize 40th birthday party. When I got the cake mix out I seen the creative idea on the side and I thought Oh my that is sooooo cute, I can do this! So I went at it. Come to find out it was her one and ONLY birthday cake!!! It was the center peice on the table. No one could beleive it was home made by me. It was the cutiest thing ever!!! I loved it! And was I so proud :) I cant wait to make another one. I made it just like the one on the box. Loved the colors.

I had already bought the cake mix and frosting when I found this recipie. I made a chocolate cake and chocolate cupcakes. Used chocolate frosting for the bottom layer and then alternated the cupcakes with chocolate and blue frosting. and decorated it will peanut butter m&ms. My family was really impressed with the way it turned out. What I liked was that it was easy and fun.
