Ingredients

cups turbinado sugar (raw sugar)
1/3
to 1/2 cup olive oil
Grated peel of 2 lemons

Directions

  • 1 Place sugar in large bowl. Drizzle oil over sugar while stirring, adding just enough oil to moisten the sugar. Stir in lemon peel until well blended.
  • 2 Use immediately, or store in tightly sealed container in refrigerator until ready to use or up to 2 weeks. Enough for 2 to 4 baths. (Not intended for consumption.)

Expert Tips

Change the scent of this pretty body scrub by adding dried lavender blossoms, fresh or dried rosemary leaves, vanilla bean seeds or grated orange peel.

Melted coconut oil makes a great substitute for the olive oil…and it’s good for your skin, too! There’s no need to store a coconut oil-based scrub in the fridge.
