These cookies taste good, but we had a heck of a time with them. The dough, if you could call it that, was powdery and we had to hold it in our hands to make it turn into dough. Then when we pressed them out with the glass, they broke apart and stuck to the bottom of the glass. They did not turn out pretty at all but they did taste good. What did we do wrong? Can someone help? The cookie ingredients as listed did not have eggs or anything in it to really moisten the dough. Please help bc I would love to try and make these again. As it is they were very time consuming and not pretty enough to give as gifts or serve at a party.

these horrid cookies cannot be set on any table. the lemon filling is hard to get set into the cookie well. if i could i would give it less than 1 star but i couldnt. i find this recipe one of the worst on betty crocker yet. most of the recipes on here use dough that is very dry and hard to work with and even if you put it in the fridge it still comes out floury and bland tasting. i dont think i can trust betty crocker again.
