Bite-sized buttery rich lemon cookies melt in your mouth. Having just one is almost impossible.

The cookies were great. I cruchsed the lemon drop candy like the powder sugar and rolled the cookies in both and it came out great. It was a big hit on Christmas!

This is my second year making these cookies. They received rave reviews last year, especially from the younger crowd. I took elzorro's suggestion and used lemonade mix instead of candy and I add 1/4 cup water.

I found these cookies a little dry. Tasted them without the topping and were very dry, with the topping they were better but still not the texture I was hoping for. Looking for a solution to make them more moist.

My daughter says they taste like heaven! I couldn't get the candy to stick, though. So I mixed the crushed candy with powdered sugar, waited til the cookies cooled a bit and gently shook the cookies with the sugar mixture in a container. Worked like a charm.

I had good luck with these and being a lemon lover, it fit in just right with my holiday cookie assortment of cookie flavors. I did use the crushed lemon drops and had no trouble, but I really like the idea of using lemonade mix instead. Will try that next time.

Very good, with my changes. 1. I substituted Country Time Lemonade Mix for the candy, same amounts, 1/4 cup in the mix, 1/4 cup to roll cookies in. I guess any brand would work. 2. I did this because my cookies went flat with the candy AND the crushed candy I had to roll them in ended up in one big lump of sticky candy because of the humidity. By the time I had baked the cookies and was ready to roll them the crushed candy had all stuck together. 3. It saves wear and tear on the processor and the noise.

The best way to keep the crumbly mixture together is to lightly squeeze a little dough together first, then roll it. There will be a tiny flat side to the cookie but it shouldn''t dome. Handle this dough like you would a pie crust dough. If dough still loses it''s ''ball'' shape too much while baking, chill the dough a bit first.

I have to agree with the previous review that these do not come out like the balls shown in the picture. They are very tasty cookies, however they do look like a regular cookie and not a ball shape.

Tasty but not quite what you see in the picture. When you bake the balls they become more of a domed cookie shape. Rolling them become troublesome as they tended to crumble even with the most delicate of care. I found the best way to solve that was to waive a few minutes after removing them from the oven rather than rolling them "immediately" as the recipe calls for. The final product was pretty and tasty but not the ball shape I was hoping for.
