I made this for my boyfriend's birthday cake this year. We both enjoyed it, although I would maybe try more lemon pie filling next time. Using two cans of frosting I also had LOTS of frosting left over, I put the extra back in one of the tubs and it almost filled it. Since the recipe doesn't use all the lemon - this was a lot of wasted ingredients. I would mix half the frosting (1 tub) with pie filling, and use leftover pie filling to spread between the layers, frosting just the outside of the cake.
