I made this cake for Christmas dinner.The cake was so moist my family really did like it very much.One problem I had to much frosting .I will make it again but use lemon curd not the lemon pie filling.

I was hoping this dessert tasted like a restaurant dessert and half of it does. The cake layers had a lovely flavor and tasted clean and yummy. I spread lemon curd (no lemon pie filling at my store) between the layers first and then spread the frosting on top of that. Two problems with this recipe: like another reviewer shared, there was a TON of frosting left--enough to almost fill up the second container and I spread the frosting generously. The second problem is the frosting itself. It didn't taste special and the "from a can" flavor popped through. This one isn't a keeper for me.

Great recipe!! Instead of making the mousse from scratch I used a base I purchased from www.DessertsNow.com. This dessert was a great hit with the family and will be used for years to come!!

This was a very yummy recipe. I made it for Mother's Day. The problem was that I couldn't find Lemon Pie filling in my area, I even contacted the mfgr and they said it wasn't available in my area. I did find some at an outlet and made it.

I made this for my boyfriend's birthday cake this year. We both enjoyed it, although I would maybe try more lemon pie filling next time. Using two cans of frosting I also had LOTS of frosting left over, I put the extra back in one of the tubs and it almost filled it. Since the recipe doesn't use all the lemon - this was a lot of wasted ingredients. I would mix half the frosting (1 tub) with pie filling, and use leftover pie filling to spread between the layers, frosting just the outside of the cake.

I tried this with the Vanilla flavored cake mix, and put lemon pie filling between the layers and a circle almost to the edges on top. Then I used the whipped icing on the sides and aroud the top edges. It was VERY GOOD!

This was an awsome cake! Everyone loved it and could not beleive it was from a box. I did add peeled orange slices and blackberries which really stood out against the frosting. Everyone wanted seconds and thirds. I recomend everyone keep this one on hand for a quick and wonderful cake.

I used cream cheese frosting instead of vanilla and added a few drops of yellow food coloring. It was very easy to prepare. Everyone at dinner raved over this cake.
