We had this for Easter a year ago. The recipe at that time called for the crust to be made of 1/2 cup of softened butter instead of the 1/4 cup of oil and egg that it currently calls for. The new crust recipe might be healthier, but the old one was delicious. I am sticking with the old recipe since it was a hit!!!

As other reviews state, the crust comes out hard and thick if following recipe exactly. Easy to make your own graham cracker crust: 1.5 C graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 C sugar, 1/3 C melted butter. Cake is good consistency but not really like a cheesecake - something was off. And you should definitely add about 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice and some lemon peel or else there won't be any lemon flavor (what's the point of a lemon cheesecake that doesn't taste like lemon?). I recommend Betty Crocker's other 2 lemon cheesecake recipes "Lemon Curd Cheesecake" and "Lemon Cheesecake with Fresh Berry Topping" - the Lemon Curd one is especially good made with a graham cracker crust. Ditch this recipe!

Made this with Kroger's Private Selection Key Lime Pudding Pie filling and key lime juice/zest. It was wonderfully!! I don't really like lemon, so substituted as I love key lime anything! I did use Ready Whip canned whip cream. Much easier to make it look nice. Everyone loved it!

This was a very easy and tasty recipe. The previous comments suggested that the crust was too hard, so I didn't use all of the cake mix that was called for. I used just enough to make a decent crust and discarded the rest. Also, instead of using lemon pudding, I added a 10 ounce jar of lemon curd (can find near the pb/jelly) and about 3 tbsp of fresh lemon juice. I reduced my baking time to 1 hour and then checked on it an it actually only needed about 5 minutes more before it was done. I got really good comments on this. Will be making again for sure!!

Well, unlike the snide comment made below, sometimes as a mother and working adult helpful hints and quick shortcuts can help make a delicious dessert without having to be SO professional. Yes, using fresh ingredients would be the best choice but sometims having the right things on hand and time of year and season would make this recipe the better choice. I'm glad that Betty Crocker can allow us working mothers appear like we had All day to make this tasty treat!

This sounds delicious ... haven't made it yet but how about replacing some of the pudding with lemon curd for a deeper, richer lemon flavor?! I'm going to try that...and maybe even swirl some lemon curd through the filling before baking for more flavor and a pretty design!!!

This was the first cheesecake I ever made, and it was wonderful! I had so many compliments on it. Was a bit hesitant about the lemon pudding snak cups, but flavor was amazing, and cake was so creamy. Will be making again for Easter dinner. I did bake in a water bath to help keep top from "cracking".
