cups chopped onion

cup carrot peelings

cups potato peelings

cloves whole garlic

bay leaves

tablespoons soy sauce

salt to taste
pepper to taste
  1. Divide all ingredients in half and place in 2 large pots and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for at least an hour. Strain out the vegetables and remove the bay leaves.
