Kumquat Sauce

Ingredients

1/3
cup thinly sliced preserved kumquat
1/2
cup orange juice
3
tablespoons orange marmalade
1
tablespoon lemon juice
1/4
teaspoon ground ginger
1
tablespoon cold water
2
teaspoons cornstarch
2
tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted
1
tablespoon orange-flavored liqueur, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Remove seeds from kumquats. Mix orange juice, orange marmalade, lemon juice and ginger in 1-quart saucepan. Heat to boiling. Mix water and cornstarch; stir into orange juice mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir about 1 minute or until thickened. Stir in kumquats, almonds and liqueur.
