My daughter made this for my birthday yesterday - better than any store-bought or bakery cake could have been! It's a lighter birthday cake, and the key lime icing is divine!

This cake is wonderful! It is so easy to make with a pre-made angel food cake, but I like to make mine. My mother grew up in Florida so she loves key lime anything. Although her birthday is in October, she asks for this birthday cake every year.

AMAZING!!! A friend made it last night for a dinner party and she added very thin slices of lime on top with a sprig of mint (so pretty). It was delightful!

Light, refreshing, moist, delicious - perfect ending for a Mexican dinner. I used my electric knift to slice the cake into layers and it worked like a dream! Will make this cake again! Everyone really enjoyed it!

I made this cake for a Mother's Day gathering our family had. It was wonderful!!! A great hit with everyone. A perfect spring/summer cake. I love this recipe. I do believe it is my new favorite cake. Very moist and light and delicious!

RE fairyfalls55: The best way to cut an angel food cake is to use a serrated nice and wipe it clean after you slice each layer. You should have no trouble.

I made the Key Lime Coconut Angel Cake for Easter. Made it with a white cake mix instead of the angel food mix. It was a big hit. Everybody loved it. Will definately make this cake again.
