beef bouillon (Knorr I found has the best flavor)

  1. Melt a little butter in frying pan. Brown 1 lb of ground beef, then drain grease from pan. Mix in flour and stir into ground beef. Add 3 cups milk, stirring periodically to prevent sticking. Bring to boil, then turn down to simmer, immediately add both (large) cubes of beef bouillon, continue stirring until boullion is completly mixed into sauce. Add paprika, salt, pepper, and onion powder to taste. The sauce will thicken as it cools. If it gets too thick, add a little milk to thin. You want it slightly thick and not so runny!
  2. For one serving, I will take two toasted slices of bread, buttered, lay both on a plate, side by side. Scramble two eggs and put them spread out on top of the toast. Then add the "sauce" on top of that. Makes for a quick breakfast that will stay with you all day. Great for a quick supper also. You can add chopped onions and or peppers to the ground beef while browing.
  3. 1 serving to me is two scrambled eggs on top of two slices of buttered toasted bread, smothered with the "sauce" with a tall glass of cold, cold 2% milk!!

Buy 80/20 ground beef, the grease that can't be drained will add to the flavor. Use 2% milk. Use "spread" instead of butter. I use Knorr Beef Bouillon in 3.1 OZ box are perfect and has great taste.
