Take a Jamaican vacation in your very own backyard. This flavorful marinade gives your grilled chicken a spicy hint of true Jamaican “jerk” cooking.

I adapted this so I could just marinate the chicken in the fridge without first cooking anything on the stove. So I skipped the red pepper, minced the green onion finely, and substituted garlic powder for the garlic. It worked great and tasted yummy. I would reduce or completely omit the curry next time. Also, I might add allspice which is in a lot of Jamaican chicken recipes.

It was good. Not as flavorful as I thought with all the spices, but still really yummy. I used great2bgreek suggestion and used some zesty Italian dressing while grilling to keep it very moist. I will make it again.

Great recipe. I've already shared this several times. Chicken tasted grrreeatt!!! Smells great too. I did sprinkle some salt and black pepper on the chicken 1st and I marinated for 2.5 hours. It started to burn on the grill so I finished it in the oven. Fantastic!

Great recipe but I must admit, the jerk marinade penetrates dark meat better than the breast. The dark meat also stays moister on the grill.

This one turned out so-so for me. I used chicken thighs and made sure to puncture the meat for better flavor. They smelled great when they were on the grill, but weren''t as great when they were eaten. I cooked them for my boyfriend''s car club, and although they got eaten, the boys weren''t all that impressed. I''m not sure I''d try it again.

I have made this recipe several times now for both family and guests. It is a hit! Leaving the rub/marinade on overnight makes it even better. I also added just a tiny bit of Zesty Italian dressing to the chicken if it was getting too dry on the grill.
