1
lb lean ground turkey
1/2
cup italian bread crumbs
1
egg
2/3
cup milk
1
Tbsp italian seasonings
1/4
Tsp pepper
1/4
Tsp salt
4 1/2
Tbsp garlic powder
5
Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
8
slices wheat bread
butter
olive oil cooking spray
  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, egg, milk, italian seasonings, pepper, salt, 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder, and 1 Tbsp parmesan. Blend ingredients thoroughly and split into four equal balls. Shape into patties.
  3. Spray baking pan with cooking spray and place patties into pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until inside of patties are no longer pink.
  4. About five minutes before burgers are done take the bread and place on a cookie sheet. Lightly butter one side of each slice. You may also use a light layer of cooking spray instead of the butter. Next sprinkle the remaining garlic powder evenly over all the bread.
  5. Once the patties are done turn the oven to broil and place the cookie sheet with bread in for about 1 to 2 minutes or until the bread is lightly browned and crispy.
  6. Take the remaining parmesan cheese and sprinkle over four pieces of the garlic bread. Then place the patties on top and sandwich them with the other pieces of bread.
  7. Enjoy!
