Ingredients

1: tablespoon active dry yeast

1/4: cup warm water (110° to 115°F)

1: cup milk

1/4: cup butter

1 1/2: tablespoon sugar

1/2: teaspoon salt

1: egg white, beaten until frothy

3 3/4: cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

3/4: cup butter, melted

1/4: Kosher salt

Directions

1 In small bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. Set aside. In small saucepan, heat milk and butter until milk is hot and butter is melted.
2 In large mixing bowl, combine milk and melted butter, sugar, salt, 2 cups of flour and yeast mixture. Add beaten egg white; beat until smooth. Stir in remaining 1¾ cup flour to form soft dough.
3 Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, turning to grease all sides. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
4 Punch dough down. Divide dough in to six pieces. On lightly floured surface; roll one piece of dough in to a 3/8-inch thick by 10-inch piece. Using a pizza cutter cut dough into 3/8” strips of dough. Place on greased baking sheets about ¼ inch apart.
5 Bake at 350°F. 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheet and brush with melted butter and sprinkle with salt.
