Ingredients

lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1
jar (26 oz) primavera spaghetti sauce
1
jar (4.5 oz) Green Giant® sliced mushrooms, drained
1
cup water
2
cups Bisquick Heart Smart® or Original Bisquick® mix
1/4
cup Green Giant® frozen chopped spinach, thawed, squeezed to drain
1/4
cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2
cup milk

  • 1 In 4-quart Dutch oven, cook beef over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce, mushrooms and water. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  • 2 In medium bowl, mix Bisquick mix, spinach, cheese and milk until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 10 spoonfuls onto hot spaghetti mixture.
  • 3 Cook uncovered over low heat 10 minutes. Cover; cook 10 minutes longer.

This was pretty good. I never made dumplings before but they worked just fine. I also added extra cheese and spinach to them. I added minced garlic to the stew (I put garlic in EVERYTHING0 and some extra italian seasoning and it worked out nicely. I will make it again.

I omitted the mushrooms & added a can of tomatoes. A little extra spinach & parmesan made the dumplings delicious! This was the first recipe I made from this website, & I will definitley make it again!
