This was so bland and embarassing to serve (it looked awful). I even used extra tomatoes and fresh onion but it dind't help. Compared to the taco pie, which is excellent, this was a disappoitment.

This recipe was very bland. The photo looked so appetizing and my finished product did not! I would probably change everything if I made it again. The potatoes needed some flavoring. I would probably make burger patties instead of loose ground beef. I would form each into it's own "burger" area to make it look more appealing like the photo.

when using this recipe for gluten free purposes, please check ingredients in products that you use that are not included in the recipe. As in tomato sauces/pastes, flavored potatoes, and bulk sausages.

This was delicious! My husband LOVED it. Italian style diced tomatoes worked perfectly!

Very tasty. :) This is an excellent recipe... One that I will make again and again. I did not have sliced tomato on hand, but tomato sauce worked just as well if not better. I also used cheddar cheese.

This was so easy, but I agree that diced or stewed tomatoes would be better, especially since ripe tomatoes are hard to come by this time of year. It re-heats well, so it makes for good leftovers.

I used turkey mean and instead of putting a layer of potatoes on the bottom I used maranara sauce. I also used homemade mashed red potatoes instead of the boxed kind. It was really good.
