A favorite in my house. I add lettuce, sour cream, salsa and the whole cassarole disappears. No leftovers, everyone has seconds!

Since I'm also watching my weight (and who isn't?) I tweaked this just a little to cut down on fat & calories. Instead of ground beef I used 93/7 ground turkey, instead of eggs I used 1/2 cup Fat Free egg beaters, reduced sodium taco seasoning, and fat free milk. Cut the fat & sodium down by 1/2 & the calories for 1/6 of the pie to 215! @allergymom2 - the egg beaters worked great! @brenskopf - the walmart brand & Ortega brand of taco seasoning both are marked GF!

It was a hit! We are new to the gluten-free world since our 2 year old was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease. I was worried about finding things a toddler would eat and dinner options that the rest of the gluten eating family would enjoy. This definitely covered both those worries. I've gotta admit being new to this, I worry I miss something when checking ingredients when the label doesn't specifically say gluten-free. I trust the info. I got is correct regarding the taco seasoning (Old El Paso Original Taco) and nothing on the ingredients gave me any red flags but still, if it's GF how much more could it cost to add those 2 word to your products?

This is excellent! Easy to make and tastes great! Fresh salsa, lettuce, & sour creme on top make it even better. Just remember to read labels of whatever taco seasoning you are using, not all brands are GF.

Has anyone tried to substitue something else for the eggs? I know of several ways and wondered if any worked?

The recipe was really good, but I just hope people are paying attention. Old El Paso seasoning mix (the original) contains MSG which isn't safe unless it specifically says Gluten Free. The mild however is safe and so is the Ortega brand. A lot of things are iffy. It's the same with their refried beans. The regular isn't safe but the fat free/reduced fat one is

I made this for dinner for my mom and my son. I have been trying to live gluten free for a few months now. So, since Im the cook in the family, they will eat what I make. They loved it! It was a complete success and its even better that its gluten free.

I have just entered the world of gluten free and felt so overhwhelmed. I have been cooking with Bisquick since I became a new bride 40 years ago. I was so excited and relieved when I discovered GF Bisquick.I made this taco pie and it was every bit as good as the one using regular Bisquick. I added jalapenos since I was out of green chiles - it added a nice punch.I used my own seasonings rather than a taco seasoning mix. Delicious and will certainly make again! As many others have said, I would love to see this mix brought out in a bigger box with more savings on price.

Very good recipe! My (non gluten-free) husband loved this one, and we both really liked the good flavors and spice that the taco seasoning and green chiles provided. Definitely a keeper!
