I really liked this - would not have thought of this combination . I had a busy day ahead of me, so I made ahead up to making the crust (I made 1 change - added 1 small can drained mushrooms). I always lightly oil the pie pan before adding the mixture then covered and put in the fridge until I was ready to finish it up (do believe it could be made the night before and then only have the crust prep for a quick and really easy dinner). After a day of working in the yard, I was tired and hungry, so nice to put few crust ingredients together, pour over the pie and then in less than an hour have an awesome dinner. I had leftovers which I reheated (microwave ) the next day and the flavors were even better. I will be making this again - next time will put all the cheese in the mix and will probably add a little less spinach (6 to 7 instead of 9 ounces).

This was just fabulous! I did alter just a tad to make it a lighter recipe by using Jimmy Dean Lite Sausage and using low fat cheddar cheese. I did increase the cheese to about 1 1/2 cups and did not put any more on top. I also used 3 egg whites and 1 yolk to the "pie crust", a tad bit more cayenne pepper, skim milk and Bisquick Heart Smart mix. All said and done, low fat, heart smart and delicious! Hubby wants to eat this weekly!

I thought this was very good. I may add a little extra cheese and spices next time, or buy a more flavorful sausage!

My husband and I loved it! I did change the recipe by deleting the chicken and adding another 1/2 lb. of hot sausage but I've never thought of making anything like this before. The cayanne pepper gave it a little extra kick without going overboard. (My husband likes really hot food and I don't. We were both happy.)My husband wants it in our permanent meal rotation.
