Ahoy there! A savory blend of crab and rich cheeses bakes in this delicious pie that’s hearty enough to satisfy even the hungriest of crews.

This was a really great idea. I made a few changes, though, which suited it more to my tastes. I added a can of crab meat to the recipe and used the shrimp instead of the lump crab meat. Also, instead of nutmeg (only because I'm really not a fan of nutmeg), I added Old Bay Seasoning. Very tasty, and quick! A little rich with the cream cheese, but I liked it!

Although my husband typically doesn't like quiche-like or frittata-like dishes, he LOVED the impossible seafood pie. I used what I had - chopped fresh red bell pepper instead of pimientos (much more flavor), added a tsp.+ of crushed garlic, used "garden vegetable" cream cheese, used extra green onions. (A little chopped celery would be a good addition too.) I added some Mrs. Dash seasoning did use nutmeg and was able to taste it in the final product and liked it a lot. At the fish counter, I bought 3 oz. of the small shrimp and 4 oz. of imitation crab. I wouldn't usually use the artificial crab, but they were out of fresh and frozen. It worked out fine, blending well with the other flavors and textures. I found that layering the ingredients into the pie pan was easier than trying to "mix" them, then poured the liquid over. Not only was it delicious - and not at all bland - it was also very colorful. While this was cooking in the oven, I prepared the ingredients for the Quick Fruit Cobbler using cherry pie filling and added fresh cut peaches, cooking it while we ate our seafood pie. Also a big winner! In the 1960's, Mom often made Bisquick "impossible pies" which we loved, but I haven't prepared one in 30 years and last night I made two!

I made this last night and it was outstanding! I did make a few changes. I used red, green and yellow bell peppers instead of the pimientos. I also added creole seasoning and garlic salt and left out the nutmeg. Combined the shrimp and the crab meat. It was AWESOME! I have already shared the receipe with family members and I know that we will be making it again at my house!

Made w/real crab and shrimp combined. Added 1/4 C. finely chopped celery & 1 clove chopped garlic. In addition to the green onions, I used chive flavored cream cheese and colby/jack shredded cheese. My husband liked it very much. I will use this recipe again. Thanks Betty Crocker! :)

I just bought the gluten free Bisquick and made this wonderful dish with it. I didn't change it, except for the GF Bisquick. My family loved it. I will be making this dish again.

I truly enjoyed making this, although I added chopped garlic because I like it,and cumin,I am trying to include it in foods I blend since it is so healthy,I must say it gave a delicious flavor and I did need to add 15 min to cooking time for the eggs to fully cook. I will make this again!

I made this last night with small salad shrimp. I also added a bundle of asparagus, that I chopped into 1-inch pieces. It reminded me a lot of a quiche. It was a little mushy when I cut into it, but I think it may have firmed up if I'd cooked it the five extra minutes. It was definitely good enough to give it another try!

This is my favorite bisquick recipe ever! Using the crabmeat, I made it by the recipe the first time, and it was great. Then I changed it up a bit to cut the fat and calories, and use ingredients I had on hand. I used 3 oz of shredded 2% cheddar instead of 4 oz of regular cheddar, light cream cheese, and skim milk. Instead of the green onions, pimiento, and nutmeg, I used 2 T of chopped green chiles, 1/4 c bacon bits, 1/2 T chili paste, 1/2 t salt, and 2 t Old Bay seasoning. It turned out terrific again - maybe even better - and cut the calories per 1/6 pie serving to 198, with 7 g fat and 8 g carbs. I will make this one over and over - it's really really good.

Great BASIC RECIPE, the know how cook must agree. I made this my way for my sons graduation party of 50 guest it was the talk of the party. Here is what I did: I made (2) double recipes(4 x the ammounts) to bake in a large chaffing pan. I omited the diced pimientos, green onion, salt, and nutmeg Then and added the following to the basic recipe: crab meat, shrimp, and scallops( all cooked together with some butter and white wine), diced yellow onion, lemon pepper, and a seasoning called "It's a Dilly" by McCormick, and finally lemon zest. If you can not find "Its a Dilly" make your own with (lemon pepper and dill) Put all ingrediants on the bottom of the greased pan poured batter over and baked in 350 oven until knife came out clean. about 60 minutes.
