No last-minute fuss with this minty cheesecake dessert. Make it ahead so it's chilled and ready to serve.

YES, the Bisquick is meant to go into the cheesecake mixture. There is no shell/crust needed because because of the Bisquick in the mixture (that's how all of the "Impossibly Easy" Bisquick recipes work). This is not your typical cheesecake, so the texture is a bit different. It's kind of a cross between a cheesecake and regular cake (similar to the texture of brownies). That being said, this was an excellent dessert that was really easy to make! My boyfriend (who is not big into desserts) really enjoyed it and even said he likes the texture. Just know that this is not a typical cheesecake recipe, so the results make not be what you typically expect of a cheesecake, but it is still very good.

The bisquick is intended to be in the recipe. I've made a recipe exactly like this many times (The only difference being the creme de minthe and chocolate chips)and it turns out wonderfully. The bisquick in the batter somewhat forms a crust and adds stability to the batter. I tried this recipe exactly and it was delicious.

This isn't meant to be rude, but there was a mistake in the writing of the recipe. The bisquick was supposed to use to make a shell for the cheesecake. Any doofus who actually put it in the cheesecake mixture...be sure to audition for next season's "Worst Cooks in America" on the food network. I made the cheesecake and it was excellent!

I'm willing to bet that they screwed up writing this recipe. I bet the bisquick is to make a pie shell, because no where in the directions does it talk about a shell.....

This was horrible. I should have read the reviews first, because it was very dry and had a pasty consistency, nothing like cheesecake. The only good part was the topping. Even my husband said to throw it in the trash and he will eat just about anything, but he sure didn't like this. It just hurts to throw all that $$ in the trash.

after reading the reviews I went to an old cheesecake recipe I have from my mother. added the creme de menthe and chocolate chips and topped it with the ganache. Oh what a cheesecake. what on earth ever gave anyone the idea to mix bisquick into a cheesecake?

Mine came out almost exactly like the pic!! I listened to the reviews however, and decided that bisquick would probably be gross in this cheesecake. I have made enough cheesecake to know that 3/4 cup of bisquick would not be a good choice. Instead I put in a little less then 1/2 cup of flour and it turned out great!!!! I recommend using flour and not bisquick.

There is obviously a mistake in the recipe. There is no way you can get the cheesecake pictured by using the recipe provided. It looks really good, but obviously a number of people found out that you can't mix the Bisquick into the batter. I don't know what the rest of the reviewers who liked it were drinking! Would be nice if we could get a corrected recipe. Oh yeah, there's no way the rating average is that high either if you read the reviews. What's up with that?

This recipe came in my weekly email and I needed a fast dessert to take to a potluck for St Pattys get together today. Well I made it without reading the reviews first. My mistake. It is so disappointing. Very dense, heavy bisquit texture, not even close to a cheesecake texture. When you bring home over half of a dessert from a potluck of about 20 ladies you know it wasn't very good. I threw it out because I wasn't wasting the calories it had in it when I could enjoy something else. Actually I would give it no spoons but you have to rate it.
