EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Cook a one-pound package of ground beef with the onion. Use 1/4 of it for this recipe. Cool the remaining beef completely, then divide into three parts, wrap tightly and freeze for future use.

Even the leanest beef still has some fat. Press browned ground beef between two layers of paper towels to eliminate more fat.

Made this tonight and it was very easy. I tried making it with a pound of hamburger and doubled the recipe but put a little too much bisquick, but even then, it was delicious! It had a puffy crust on the top!

I fixed this for supper tonight and both of us really liked it. I think that the only thing I might change is adding a little more hamburger.
