I have a question after mixing the bisquick and egg do you put that on the bottom of the casserole dish and then add the sausage peppers and onions or do you mix it all together?

Be careful when deviating from the orginal recipie & taking advice from the reviewers. I followed some advice here to use real potatos, and it turned out like hamburger helper. If thats the case, I could have just made hamburger helper instead and saved myself the trouble. It also looks like a lot more than 3 cups of frozen hash browns in the dish pictured above. 3 c. of potato with 2 packages = 3 c. of meat? Something is off in the ingriedients here. You only want to add 1 part meat to 3 parts potato. Anyway, it seems like an awful lot of work and expense for fixing an antiquated casserole dish, which are average at best.

Delicious! Husband loved it. I used 6 eggs instead of 4 trying to use up the carton. Turned out perfect. Used Jimmy Dean Hot sausage. Wonderful. I put some mozzerella on the top - also to use up a partial pkg. Will be making this again and again.

This is a total hit! Its inexpensive to make, requires little prep time, and tastes great. I can't wait to make it again and again with different variations.

I made this as a brunch on Chrsitmas Day and it was a hit! 4 eggs seemed to be enough but I could see using 6. I used a green and red pepper to make it more colorful and festive. Great crowd pleasing recipe!

I made this for Christmas morning/brunch.. It was a big hit. I made a couple of variations: I added 1 green bell pepper as well as 1 red bell pepper. I also used 6 eggs. It fed 8. I'm afraid it would not of fed 12 without other dishes to go with it. I will definitely be making this again. I will probably add some mushrooms to it next time.

My family loves this recipe, just the way it is. No extra eggs are needed! We even put this casserole in tortillas and make our own breakfast burritos! It's a must for Christmas morning. Put it all together Christmas Eve and put it in the oven on Christmas morning to bake while opening presents!

Has anyone tried to make this with glutenfree bisquick?
